Electrolysis

Electrolysis Hair Removal

Electrolysis effectively removes fair/white hair and red hairs, as well as dark hairs; for large areas of concern, where the hairs are dark, we also offer Soprano Ice laser hair removal delivering fast and long lasting results. The Vault advises laser hair removal initially though if not suitable for you then electrolysis can be performed.

What is electrolysis?

Electrolysis removes individual hairs at the follicle via an electric current that is applied with a fine, needle-shade electrode or metal probe. The electric current destroys the hair follicle at the root, preventing it from ever growing back in the future. The Vault chooses the Diathermy method, electrically induced heat or the use of high frequency electromagnetic currents.

Is the treatment painful?

Pain is rather subjective; but some people report a slight warming sensation that offers mild discomfort. The sensation varies according to the area of the body being treated, as well as the pain threshold of the person being treated. After the treatment you may find that there is some localised redness and swelling in the treated area, which should disappear after a couple of days. If you have any ingrown or distorted hairs they may develop tiny pinprick scabs, which will naturally fall away within a week.

How many sessions would I need?

Hair grows in numerous cycles, so it is impossible to remove all of the hair from the targeted area in one session. On consultation we will advise a treatment plan. Courses are available, 6 treatments saving 15%.
